Day 2 - Consecration and Commitment
1/4/2025
Consecration and commitment to God is mandatory for all Christians. Jesus Christ obeys the will of His father even at the cross. Living a life of sacrifice and serving God often seems to be difficult for people after receiving salvation. It's not easy to die to your own will, your own ways and your own desires daily. However, there are more blessings to devote irrevocably to the worship of God: "Love your God with all your heart, and with all your soul and with all your mind". Like Abraham, he was blessed by God because of his consecration and commitment to God.
It is said: it's no longer I who live but Christ in me. Galatians 2:20. Consecration transforms us and allows God to kill wrong motives in us and uproot any strongholds that we can carry in our lives. So, we'll therefore look more like Jesus.
Every assignment that God gives us, depends also on our level of consecration and commitment to fulfil it successfully. So, we might give away things that seems so precious to us, to replace it on spending time with God through His word, all kind of prayer and gathering of believers. Being led by The Holy Spirit every moment is crucial as we grow in God's words and spend time in His presence.
I personally decided, after hardship a few years ago, to serve God 100% and follow His will along with my family. That day I completely died to myself, to live and serve only God, and placed Him as my priority and nothing else. Since that day, I have experienced a massive move of God in my life, He led me to move to Manchester and The Lighthouse, given to me before I moved. Since I came to the Lighthouse, I have committed to Sunday services, prayers meetings, Cgroup meetings and youth meetings (for my children)... I have seen God's blessings as I continue to die daily for Him and serve Him. LET'S TAKE UP OUR CROSS AND FOLLOW JESUS DAILY. Matthew 16:24.
