Prayer for the UK government

Lord God almighty, we exalt your great and holy name, the God who hears and answers prayer, the faithful, just, and righteous.

We thank you for this nation (UK), the government and the blessing bestowed on it.

We pray for forgiveness on behalf of our leaders, every wrongdoing, thought or evil intent against your will and your people. We pray for breakthrough in their lives, for success, even deliverance from things holding them back from ruling this country righteously and justly. We lift their burdens and cares to you. As you lift their burdens, they become sharpened tools in your hands to use for your glory.

Your word says blessed is a nation whose God is the Lord, we pray that you redeem the UK to yourself. When the righteous rule, the people rejoice. Lord we thank you for your rule and reign in this nation, when earthly men rule, you overrule with your word, your will and your purposes when we pray and commit them to you. We pray for our leaders, the Prime minister and his entire cabinet and all MPs that you tune their ears to hear your counsel and get your wisdom when deliberating on all policy matters to steer the country in a new direction.

We pray for integrity, truthfulness, and honour among our leaders.

We pray for favour for economic growth, more job creation and stability of the economy. May you cause good and key economic decisions to be made and implemented to strengthen our country competitively in the world. May you raise God-fearing leaders who have the heart to serve you and the ordinary citizens.

We pray that you influence every government office with your wisdom and that you prosper this nation once again, in Jesus's name we pray, AMEN.
