Day 6 - Satellite and Partner Churches
1/8/2025
The story of Nehemiah in the book of Nehemiah provides valuable insights into leadership, faith, and perseverance. Charged with the task of rebuilding the damaged walls of Jerusalem, Nehemiah encountered opposition, discouragement, and significant challenges. However, with God's guidance, he accomplished the work, restoring unity among God's people.
How did Nehemiah overcome these obstacles?
Faith (Nehemiah 1:4-11)
Nehemiah initiated his mission with prayer, earnestly seeking God's guidance and favor. He had faith in God's plan to restore Jerusalem and trusted in His ability to meet every need. Like Nehemiah, we should intercede for our satellite and partner churches, relying on God to empower their leaders and communities. Let's pray that pastors—Reji, Mehari, Dele, Hardy, and Isaac—stay grounded in their faith and vision.
Action (Nehemiah 2:17-18)
Nehemiah didn't just pray; he took decisive action, motivating the people to rebuild. He worked diligently despite facing opposition. In the same way, pastors work tirelessly to grow their churches and support their congregations. Let's pray for strength and perseverance for these pastors and their families as they carry on their important work.
Unity (Nehemiah 3)
Nehemiah brought together individuals from various backgrounds to achieve their goal. Unity was essential for success. Pray for harmony within these churches, for strong leadership teams, and for congregations to flourish in love and good deeds (Colossians 1:10).
Encouragement (Nehemiah 6:15-16)
Despite numerous challenges, Nehemiah completed the wall, showcasing God's provision and faithfulness. Our pastors, like Nehemiah, also need encouragement and support. Let's pray for God's guidance, wisdom, and a powerful movement of the Holy Spirit in these ministries.
Let us pray today
- For faith, strength, and wisdom for these pastors and their families.
- For unity, peace, and growth in their congregations.
- For divine provision and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
